What is Showit?
Showit is a completely customizable, drag and drop website builder that gives you full control over your site design. It has flexible design capabilities with the power of a Wordpress blog to provide a seamless experience for your users.
I have built on many different platforms over the years and have found Showit to be the most intuitive and easy to use for most business owners. Forget about waiting for your designer to make small changes and updates to your website. You will leave our time together confident in knowing how to do those changes yourself,
What isn't included in a template customization?
The template is sold seperately. If you purchase a template from the May and James co shop, I will provide you with a 15% discount. You will also have to purchase your domain, email and Showit subscription seperately. If you need support transferring your blog from another platform, Showit will assist with this. If you require additional pages, or canvases to your website, this will be billed seperately. There is no copywriting included. If you need support with this, we have a Copy Guide that will assist you through this process. This does not include a branding session.
What if I don't have my font and brand colors?
We can work together to clarify what you currently have and where you want to be. With this in mind, you will be billed for extra time to dedicate to this. We do provide custom design packages that include branding sessions. Please inquire if you are looking for this support.
How long is the Template Customization experience?
Once the application has been completed, payment has been made, and all content has been provided through our shared folder, you will recieve a scheduling link.
For "The Signature" template package, once the date (and week) has been chosen, we start with a kick off call and we get to work! Expect to get access to your site mid way through the week. You will get 1 round of revisions and the completed site will be handed over by Friday.
For "The Custom" template package, once the kick-off call has been scheduled, we get to work! Expect to have your website completed in 2-4 weeks!
Will you customize another designers template?
Yes! While I prefer to customize my own templates, the design has to feel right. If you have a Showit template in mind, please make sure to mention in the application form, so we can discuss further. Not all templates are designed strategically and we want to ensure the right fit is customized for your business and brand. I can also recommend some of our favorite shops and designers if requested.
